New and Emerging Communities Festival
The First New and Emerging Communities Festival (NECF) was held at Belle Vue Park Primary School in Glenroy on the 29th April 2017. The festival brought over 20 diverse ethnic communities living in Melbourne to celebrate Australian Multiculturalism and Embracing Diversity and Common Values. Stay tuned for 2018 NECF.
Youth Multifaith Forum
The first Youth Multifaith Forum (YMF) was organized on 19th February 2017 by HHYF team. Youth from five main faiths discussed their understanding of faith from their perspectives and exchanged understanding between different faiths. This YMF was first of its kind in Australia organized on youth initiatives. Next MYF date will be announced soon.
New & Emerging Communities Cup
The First New and Emerging Communities Cup tournament was held on the 22nd of April 2017 in Glenroy. Soccer teams from the Bhutanese, Karen, and Nepalese community participated. The Centre For Multicultural Youth (CMY) sponsored the NEC Cup. The 2018 NEC Cup dates will be announced soon.
Leadership Forum
Centre For Multicultural Youth (CMY) will deliver leadership Forum for the youth from Bhutanese, Nepalese and Karen communities in 2017 on leadership, events management and capacity building. Stay tuned for further information.
